Camps with Theater Works Summer Camp 2008
The
most Unique, Creative & Fun Theater Camp in the Valley!
Work with a professional director, musical director and dance
choreographer on a full length musical youth theatre production! This is
a unique theatre experience that will be different than any other
theatre summer camp. Our team of professionals work hard to create a
supportive environment and for our cast to be a true ensemble! There are
NO stars! This original comedy will be written for the kids in the camp
by youth theatre playwright Jim Gradillas. The students will be involved
in the sculpting the play by creating and adding their own bits of
comedy and dialogue for the play! They will truly take ownership for
their work! The final days of the camp will be our final amazing
performance! This is not some actors in paper costumes and a cardboard
set.....this is a full production complete with costumes, lights, a
beautiful set on the main stage! This is a summer camp that will fill up

Registration open for Dysart's summer-long camp
Camp CACTUS is a
daily summer program for kindergarten through sixth grade students that
runs from May 27 to Aug. 1 at select Dysart schools.
Camp activities
are aligned with state education standards and are intended to cultivate
children's talents and interests. Students can also look forward to
field trips to Makutu's Island, Junior Achievement's Biz Town and the
Herberger Theater as well as activities such as roller skating and
swimming.
Students can be
registered on a daily basis, with a registration minimum of four days
per week. Camp costs range from $110 to $125 weekly, with discounts
allowed for families who sign up more than one child. Dysart is offering
a special price of $1,125 for those who pay for the entire summer up
front - a savings of $125.
Parents can
register their children by visiting Dysart's community education
department at the Dysart Education Center, 15802 N. Parkview Pl.
Registration requirements include: a $40 registration fee, a copy of the
child's immunization record, addresses and phone numbers for three
emergency contact persons, and any additional medical information
pertinent to the child's health. Camp registration is limited.
